The Challenge

Lack of Centralized Reunification Plan: The district lacked a comprehensive plan for reunification in emergencies before partnering with Raptor. Standardized protocols, including drills and a system for monitoring and ensuring the safety of students during such events, were needed.
A Need to Practice Reunification: The district faced a challenge in the lack of consistent rehearsal and preparation for reunification procedures. They needed regular and ongoing practice to execute reunification protocols during emergencies effectively.
Communication Tools Access and Protocols Needed to be Aligned with District Policy: Staff lacked efficient means to alert authorities, monitor students, and communicate with parents during emergencies or drills. The district needed help c onfiguring its communication tools to its emergency policies and procedures and training staff to use those protocols during an emergency.

Implementation of Standard Reunification Method: Raptor Reunification is aligned with established protocols, including the Standard Reunification Method, to ensure a consistent and standardized approach across schools. Licensed by The “I Love U Guys” Foundation, Raptor assisted in establishing a standard emergency response protocol, which included conducting drills and developing a unified plan for reunification.
Reunification Training and Drill Support: Raptor hosts an onsite, in-depth training on reunification, followed by an actual reunification drill. Completing the Reunification Exercise left their team confident in their abilities to execute this critical function in an emergency.
Aligning Communication Tools Access and Protocols with District Policy: Raptor CSP helps PBT ISD maintain fidelity with its emergency communication plans by configuring its communication tools to align with its emergency policies and procedures. By training staff to use Raptor during the onsite reunification event, PBT ISD’s team is left feeling confident in its abilities to execute this critical function in an actual emergency.
