SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4News) – Raptor technology is allowing schools all over the country to immediately screen visitors against the sex offender registry.

Ten to 15 schools are using the screening here in Utah, most are charter schools. Front office staff scan a person’s photo I.D. and the Raptor technology checks it against the national sex offender registry and a custom compilation of databases that the school district can create.

Once a person has been deemed safe, they are given a photo-visitor badge.

You can find more about how to integrate Raptor technologies into your school here.
