Biometric Information Retention Policy
Our Biometric Information Retention Policy is provided below and has been adopted by us pursuant to applicable laws that govern the collection of biometric information, including but not limited to, the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”). It describes the purpose for which Raptor Technologies, LLC (“we”, or “us”) may process your biometric information, an applicable retention schedule, and guidelines for permanently destroying your biometric information.
Purpose of Collection: As part of our services to schools and commitment to school safety, we require you to upload a photo of your government-issued ID as well as a selfie. We extract a scan of your face geometry (“biometric information”) from these images in order to compare them to confirm that they match. We do not sell, lease or trade your biometric information, nor do we share it with anyone.
Retention of Biometric Information: BIPA provides that biometric data must be destroyed at the earliest of three years since the last interaction with you or when collection purpose has been met. We may retain your biometric information for fraud prevention or compliance with law, in no event for longer than three years following your last use of our services, after which we will permanently destroy your biometric information.
Security: We maintain strong security safeguards to protect your biometric information, including encryption and limiting access to biometric information to only authorized personnel.
Your Rights and Choices: You may request to withdraw your consent to future collection, use and storage of biometric information at any time by written notice. To exercise this right, please contact us at any time by emailing [email protected].
Children
The Services are not intended for use by children. If we learn that we have collected personal information through our Services without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian as required by law, we will delete it. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13 (other than in connection with Services Privacy Policy), please contact us at [email protected].
Job Applicants
When you apply for a job with us, we collect the information that you provide to us in connection with your job application. This includes but is not limited to business and personal contact information, professional credentials and skills, educational and work history and other information of the type that may be included in a resume. This may also include diversity information that you voluntarily provide.
