Otsego Northern Catskills Board of Cooperative Educational Services (ONC BOCES) serves 19 school districts across 1,661 square miles in central New York State. For decades, the districts relied heavily on a single Safety Risk Officer. This officer not only managed compliance with federal and state safety regulations but also oversaw specialized tasks such as asbestos management, underground fuel storage, and safety inspections.
When the Officer announced her plans to retire after 20 years of service, ONC BOCES faced a critical challenge.
