Digital Hall Passes Help Schools with Real-Time Student Movement Visibility

Raptor in the News

Schools across the country are discovering that smarter student movement management goes far beyond simply knowing who is in the hallway. Government Technology recently featured Consolidated High School District 230 in Orland Park, Illinois, where the district piloted Raptor’s SmartPass digital hall pass system — and the results were compelling enough to expand it district-wide this fall.

SmartPass gives staff real-time visibility into who is out of class, where they’re headed, and how long they’ve been gone. The data surfaced patterns the district never had a way to track before — from identifying high-traffic areas to flagging students who were missing significant instructional time and may need additional support. Administrators used that insight to have more informed conversations with students, parents, and intervention teams.
