Keeping Utah Schools Safe

Utah-selected wearable panic alert solution from the leader in end-to-end emergency management.

EMERGENCY Management Software for Schools

Unmatched, Integrated Panic Alert Technology

Raptor Technologies has been selected by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) to provide integrated panic alert technology for public K-12 schools to quickly initiate emergency alerts and coordinate response across campuses.

  • Through state funding, Utah public schools can purchase Raptor Badge Alert™ which includes wearable panic alert devices that directly communicate with local 911 Emergency Communication Centers (ECCs), building mapping, the Raptor Alert mobile panic alert app, Raptor Drill Manager™, plus full accountability and reunification capabilities.
  • According to state law, all public schools and charter schools must have a wearable panic alert system in place by June 30, 2026. Raptor commits that it will enable districts and charters that choose the Raptor Badge Alert solution by April 1, 2026, to meet this compliance deadline.
  • Teachers and staff will be trained on appropriate use and protocols for initiating alerts from their wearable badge, mobile app, or any web-enabled device, providing redundancy and speed under duress.
  • Raptor Connect digital integrations connect Raptor Badge Alert to existing safety technologies, such as Audio Enhancement, enabling alerts and emergency actions to be initiated through one coordinated workflow and extending notifications and response beyond mobile devices.
  • Raptor VisitorSafe™ is included with the Raptor Badge Alert purchase to provide proactive visitor screening capabilities while maintaining a streamlined and welcoming experience for campuses and school events.

RAPTOR ALERT in Action

How Raptor Exceeds Utah’s Mandates for School Safety Software

While Raptor Badge Alert meets Utah Code 53G-8-805 requirements on day one, it’s only one part of the end-to-end Emergency Management suite that connects drills, alerts, mapping, communication, accountability, and reunification. Utah schools can reduce safety risks, improve staff training and drill management, and document compliance with Utah law by integrating Raptor’s school safety ecosystem.

Utah educators and staff need efficient, modern solutions like Raptor to avoid stitching together multiple systems in the middle of an incident and risking compliance problems after the fact.

Conducting Drills That Build Muscle Memory

  • Raptor Drill Manager is the simplest method to comprehensively plan, schedule, and document drills that meet and exceed state and district requirements when preparing for audits and annual reviews required by Utah law.
  • Scenario-based training helps staff practice Utah-specific protocols—lockdowns, evacuations, medical situations—inside the same tools they will use in a real event, which helps build staff confidence and muscle memory.

Real-Time Alerting on Any Utah K-12 Campus

  • Staff can easily initiate an emergency response from wearable panic alert badges or use the Raptor Alert app on their mobile devices or desktops.
  • Each alert is configured during implementation for specific alert types and workflows, so each application meets the unique needs of the school.
  • Communication with 911 emergency responders is available via calling or texting, and staff can group message or receive incident-level alerts in real time through the app.
  • Raptor’s indoor location mapping and incident dashboards help district leaders and local emergency responders see where help is needed inside each building.
  • Campus-wide coverage exists in areas with limited WiFi or cellular connectivity thanks to Raptor’s dedicated LoRa network.

Direct Integration with 911 Centers

  • Raptor serves as the operational bridge between school staff, district command teams, and first responders, providing context-rich alerts and structured data via the systems 911 staff use every day.
  • Raptor integrates directly with Motorola CommandCentral Aware (CommandAware), supporting Utah’s requirement that panic alert systems communicate directly with emergency communications centers (ECCs) providing key emergency information.
  • Additionally, through our integration with RapidSOS, a system already in use with ECCs statewide, every Raptor alert simultaneously delivers enriched emergency data directly to first responders in real-time.

Compliance and Training That Meets Utah Law

  • Raptor provides onsite training agendas for Raptor Alert, Accountability, and Badge Alert, providing Utah-based staff with training using the same tools used in real incidents.
  • Raptor’s drill and incident reporting supports the active threat, emergency preparedness, school safety drill, and standard response protocols training requirements in Utah Code 53G-8-803.
  • With digital workflows and reporting dashboards, leadership can show that staff are trained on the tools and roles defined in the district’s emergency response plan during annual reviews with school boards and local law enforcement partners.

Standard Response Protocols and Reunification for Utah Families

  • Raptor is the only platform with the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and Standard Reunification Method (SRM) from The “I Love U Guys Foundation fully licensed and natively embedded into workflows.
  • Utah educators and staff can feel confident and aligned with training for reunification protocols that speed the entire process, while minimizing trauma and reuniting students with ID-verified and approved guardians.

Made in The USA

  • Raptor’s mapping and gateway hardware are proudly manufactured in the U.S., helping reduce supply chain risk and simplifying compliance with procurement standards.
