School starts Wednesday in St. Mary’s and one Elementary School will see an increase in students. The Superintendent says South St. Mary’s Street Elementary’s enrollment is up almost 40 kids since last year. This called for the hiring of two more Kindergarten Teachers. Bennetts Valley and Fox Township’s enrollment stayed the same. The Superintendent says the district will also have a new security policy this year. The “Raptor Security System” will scan visitor’s driver’s licenses against child abuse and criminal databases. They will have a better idea if someone should be in the building or not.
