Product Marketing Manager

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for gaining a deep understanding of our industry, our market, our customers, and our business to provide input and guidance for marketing program strategy, positioning, product strategy, and sales communications. This position requires tight external interaction with industry influencers, customers, and prospects, and tight internal interaction with the marketing, product management, sales, implementation, and customer service teams.

Essential Functions

  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Raptor products in the market
  • Establish symbiotic relationships with organizations, associations, and influencers in the area of school safety & security; manage sponsorship and partnership relationships
  • Sales enablement – conduct product training and develop the sales tools (including collateral) that effectively communicate the value proposition and support the selling process
  • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Market intelligence – conduct market research; be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to crush them
  • Go-to-market planning: create and execute on go-to-market plans including pricing, bundling, and channel strategy

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of software product marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s in business or marketing, MBA a plus
  • Willing to travel up to 25%

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

  • General office environment
  • May be sitting for periods of 3-4 hours at a time
  • Work involves extended periods of computer use
